Champagne Rules

BEHIND THE SCENES

This book started from a snippet of conversation. A friend told me about a dream she’d had of making love in a cave, looking out over a beach, watching the people on the beach while she was having sex. Sounded pretty darned hot to me!

As for champagne – well, it’s my favorite drink. It’s special. Definitely not a humdrum, everyday thing. If you were 24, indulging in an erotic escapade, wouldn't you want it to be just like champagne? Suzanne does. Or at least that’s what she thinks she wants!

Jaxon, her sexy African-American lover, is a lawyer. I’ve studied law, know it’s a tough life that involves a lot of pressure. Imagine that pressure, on an immigrant kid who’s bought into the American dream. Workaholic Jax doesn't have time for a relationship, but he sure as hell enjoys hot sex, be it in person, phone sex, or cyber sex – and he and Suze are up for trying them all.

For Suze, the issue’s about figuring out who she really is: the sexy Suzanne who’s reveling in an erotic escapade with Jax, or the sensible Suzanne who eventually wants to settle down with a modern-day version of Ward Cleaver. Haven't we all been there? Trying out different roles, and seeing which one fits us best?
