Sexy Drinks

Fruity cocktailMy destination wedding books, Sex on the Beach (Jan 2010; set in Belize) and Sex on the Slopes (Dec 2010; set in Whistler), have signature drinks, with the same names as the book titles. When I went looking for a recipe for “sex on the beach,” I discovered that there were numerous variations. That gave me the idea of holding a contest to find the best recipe. And then, of course I had to do the same for “sex on the slopes”.

I even got my editor’s agreement that we could include the “sex on the slopes” recipe in the book!

The winning recipe for “sex on the beach” was provided by Francisca Mesiano. She wins an autographed copy of Sex on the Beach and an Island Paradise calendar.

The winning recipe for “sex on the slopes” was provided by Carol Woodruff. She wins an autographed copy of Sex on the Beach and her recipe will appear in the book!

Thanks so much to everyone who entered. Because of you, a congenial group of writer friends spent a lovely evening tasting (and dining) at the Voya bar at the Loden hotel in Vancouver, BC. Thanks so much to Simon, the bartender, for looking after us so wonderfully.
